HEAVY rain has caused flash flooding across Jersey and left a number of roads closed.
Several roads are impassable and the States police say that a trench is forming on Route des Issues in St John.
In a statement released on Thursday morning, the States police said: “We are aware of flooding around the Island due to the weather at this time.
“At this time, the below roads are currently flooding and are closed/passable with caution: La Rue de Bechlet – Trinity; Mont Mado – St John; Mont de la Grève de Lecq – St Mary; La Verte Rue – St Mary/St John.
“Les Chenolles de Six Rue – St Lawrence is currently partially blocked due to a landslide.
“Please take care on the roads due to the flooding and debris on the roads.”
