LOCAL artists are being encouraged to apply for ArtHouse Jersey funding.

The arts charity’s director, Tom Dingle, said their project and development grants were a ‘fundamental part’ of how they invested in the community.

ArtHouse Jersey provides financial assistance to local artists and artists linked to Jersey, to create new work or develop their creative process.

Applications are reviewed quarterly and the next deadline is 1 November, followed by further reviews on 1 February, 1 May and 1 August 2023.

Mr Dingle said: ‘These grants are a fundamental part of how we invest in the local arts ecosystem, which in turn will produce the exhibitions, performances, recitals and educational work that is enjoyed by the wider public.’

He added: ‘Many of our previous grant recipients have gone on to have careers where their work has reached global audiences. It’s important to stress that these grants are very much about work for the future; we want to hear from all professionally aspiring artists and would welcome approaches from people who we may not have met before and for art forms that are perhaps less well represented.

‘If you’re not sure if you qualify, then do get in touch as we have a friendly and welcoming team who will be happy to discuss it further with you.’

Guidelines and the application form can be found on the grants section of the ArtHouse Jersey website.
