JERSEY Zoo will close temporarily next Tuesday to help the development of new gorilla and pig buildings.
On 11 October, last entry to the zoo will be 2pm, the animal buildings and cafés will close at 3pm and all visitors will be asked to leave by 4pm.
The zoo will reopen at midday the next day.
The temporary closure will allow electrical works to be carried out for the development of new gorilla and warty pig buildings.
Additionally, the gift shop will be closed all day on both 11 and 12 October, while the Durrell charity shop will close at 3pm on Tuesday and reopen at midday on Wednesday.
