Views of St Aubin and its railway in times past in selection of postcards from the collection of Bob and Sheila Mallet.

A tunnel at the St Aubin’s end of Mont Les Vaux was constructed in 1897/8 to help straighten out the railway line
The railway line linking St Aubin to St Helier was opened to the public in 1870 with the Terminus Hotel and Station located where the parish hall is now. Increased competition from buses and motor transport in the 1920s and 30s led to the decline in railway usage and a major fire at the station in October 1936, which destroyed the rolling stock, sealed the railway’s fate. The site was sold to the parish in 1946 for £2,000
