Two events planned to remember surfer Jayson

Former Les Quennevais pupil Jayson ‘Baudy’ Baudains, who has been described as his friends and family as a ‘darling angel’ with a ‘heart of gold’, died on Thursday.

His mother, Kim Murray, has now organised two events as a ‘non-religious celebration of his life’.

Those who knew the St Ouen parishioner are invited to Jersey Race Club on Tuesday 5 September for a ‘celebration of life’ event from 3 pm. Mrs Murray has asked those attending to dress as Jayson would have wished and says anyone wanting to take a guitar and play are welcome to do so.

The following day an event has been planned at the Watersplash in memory of the keen surfer. The Islander’s mother has asked people to meet on the beach in front of the Watersplash with their surfboards from 4.30 pm on Wednesday 6 September. She has asked those who do not wish to surf to bring roses which can be placed along the shoreline.
