The whole school has been involved in making the musical video, with the aim of sharing a positive message about mental well-being to go alongside a song written by music teacher Rebecca Lawrence called The Power In Me.
The four-minute video shows children in the classroom as well as outside in the playground , and in the last scene all the pupils take part in a concert in the school hall.
The song’s chorus includes the lyrics: ‘Nobody’s going to hold me back, nobody’s going to silence my words… I’ve got the power in me.’
Head teacher Andrew Willis said that the production process had been hugely enjoyable for the pupils. ‘We hadn’t realised quite how much we would get out of making the film, and how detailed the process was,’ he said.
