Mr Bronx, who had been in Jersey since he was seven and a half weeks old, was seized by Customs officers in February after they suspected that he might be a dangerous breed.
He has since spent ten months in kennels at the JSPCA.
Last month the Petty Debts Court deemed Mr Bronx, who was seized by Customs at the Harbour when his owners arrived back in the Island having taken the dog away with them on holiday, to be a pit bull-type dog, leaving him with an uncertain future.
