Dr Cheryl Power, who is also the director of the Jersey Talking Therapies service, told the JEP that the move to provide new accommodation for adult mental-health services and have all offices under one roof would be more effective for multi-agency working.
Currently, the psychology department is based at Overdale Hospital and the Jersey Talking Therapies main office space is based at Regus House in St Helier.
It has not yet been confirmed where the new accommodation will be.
