Heathrow link may be restored

With MPs just weeks away from voting on plans for a third runway at the London airport, the company has said such an expansion would allow it to consider opening up to 12 new domestic routes, among them Jersey to Heathrow.

However, any new routes would be unlikely to begin operating until new slots are created at the London airport with the opening of a new runway.

Heathrow, which is the UK’s largest and busiest airport, has announced that it wants to increase its existing annual limit of 480,000 flights by 25,000 between 2021 and the potential opening of a third runway in 2025.
