Darren and Tara Jones and their son Ryan (13) have been involved with a number of different Battle exhibits over the years – and they enjoyed the experience so much that they have now decided to enter their own.

The 14-ft entry, Beach Party, was designed by Grainville student Ryan and has a seaside theme, featuring surfboards, a sandcastle, buckets and spades.

The family have built the float in a friend’s cattle shed and have been assisted by a team of around 20 of their friends.
