A TEENAGE drink-driver has pleaded guilty to getting behind the wheel while nearly three times the legal alcohol limit.
Chase Riley Kilpatrick, 18, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court on Friday to driving over the prescribed limit on 20 August.
Centenier Paul Huelin, prosecuting, said Kilpatrick had recorded 91 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Relief Magistrate David Le Cornu described the reading as “very, very high” and said a pre-sentence report was needed before Kilpatrick’s punishment could be decided.
He disqualified the 18-year-old from driving with immediate effect.
The case was adjourned until 2 October, when Kilpatrick will be sentenced and the length of the ban determined.
