One in every five tenants is bad, says town landlord

In July it was revealed that the States were planning to introduce new legislation designed to raise the standard of rental accommodation in Jersey.

If the new laws are approved, landlords could soon be ordered to upgrade properties if they do not meet fresh minimum standards.

They may also be required to enrol on a central register within the next few years.
