Blaze at the Breakwater Cafe

The blaze started at around 4 pm and a plume of smoke was seen billowing from the roof of the building.

An employee working in the kitchen when the fire broke out said that a spark from a grill was sucked into an extractor fan which then ignited.

The chef, Eric Endres, said that he managed to put out the fire and only sustained a minor burn.
