The 20-year-old trainee trust and company administrator was in the island on Monday to take part in the popular parade, which is held as part of Alderney Week.

She began her day with an island tour in a vintage car, followed by lunch at Brace Beach Hotel before being taken to parade. Despite the rain, she said that she did lots of waving aand smiling at what seemed like the entire population of Alderney.

The parade finished at The Buttes, where Aimee looked around a number of stalls and saw the floats up close before enjoying tea and cake with Miss Alderney, Roisin Gaudion, and her Maid of Honour, Sophie Luke. After presenting medals to all of the winning float teams, Aimee then had a chance to have a go at flying the plane on her way back to Jersey.
