Top Jersey chef makes a Mayfair move

News | Published:

JERSEY produce is to play a leading role at local chef Shaun Rankin's new London restaurant, which will be named after his flagship business in Don Street.

Ormer Mayfair is due to open on 14 September in the award-winning boutique hotel Flemings Mayfair in Half Moon Street, following the success of its Island counterpart – simply called Ormer – which opened in 2013.

The Michelin-starred chef will head the 85-seat restaurant, dividing his time between Jersey and London, and plans to use top Jersey produce on the menu.

The Flemings Mayfair, which is close to Green Park and Piccadilly, is within walking distance of Buckingham Palace and recently underwent a £14 million refurbishment.
