More than 60 Islanders took to the water and raised £640 for Macmillan Jersey – £140 more than last year’s record-breaking amount.

Organisers Wendy Trehiou and Dee Richards said that the swim marked three years since they both began cancer treatment and that they were delighted to have received so much support for the event.

The swimmers, including two who took part straight after completing the 13 km Durrell Challenge run, were cheered on by a crowd of people mainly wearing pink.
