The topping-out ceremony – a builders’ tradition held after a structure is complete – was held on Thursday, following the fitting of the last beam of the building’s frame.
The event was attended by Home Affairs Minister Kristina Moore, Infrastructure Minister Eddie Noel, Assistant Home Affairs Minister Deidre Mezbourian and Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel member Deputy Sam Mézec.
States police chief Mike Bowron and deputy chief officer Barry Taylor and the police’s facilities and projects manager, Rob Moy, were also present.
