Adesse Versions, also known as Kevin Gorman, will perform at Havana and party-goers are being promised something special from the master of all things techno and deep house.
Widely regarded as one of hottest producers of deep house and edits in the world under his less exotic name, AV has shown the world in more recent times that he is just as comfortable behind a turntable.
A former mainstay of the techno world, his music as Kevin Gorman graced labels including Curle, Ostgut Ton and his own imprint, Mikrowave.

As Adesse Versions, he plays tributes to his musical idols. According to critics, it’s all about roughness and raw emotion, bringing a cut-and-paste ethos to house music.
Support on the night will come from two locally nurtured acts in the form of DJs Tharindu and Jo Smart.
Ben Newman, co-founder of Rocksteady, who are hosting the event, said he was looking forward to this event, which would set the label up for their big New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day bashes.
‘We’re super-excited about Adesse Versions,’ said Ben.
‘He plays very pure house music with real soul and intelligence, and has true pedigree, having had a successful career making and releasing techno in his own name, Kevin Gorman.
‘Everything he makes under the Adesse Versions moniker is buy-on-sight, and there’s so much hype about him at the moment, so it’s great timing for us and the Island.
‘It also sets us up nicely for our double-header New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day event with BLKOUT – a huge night of drum and bass and breakbeat with Sigma and The Freestylers on New Year’s Eve, and then deep and groovy house with Breach on New Year’s Day’.
Despite anticipating some heavy, hungover heads on 1 January, Ben said it was the optimum time for a party.
‘New Year’s Day may seem like an odd choice at first, but it’s a huge day and night out in the UK and in Europe and it’s nice to start the year positively, rather than feeling sorry for yourself,’ he added.
The JEP Nighlife’s resident anonymous columnist Artiste Anon said tonight’s gig was a must-see.
‘AKA Kevin Gorman, AV is the master of all things techno and deep house,’ he added.
‘With releases on labels such as Berlin’s Ostgut Ton, this night will be something special. Trust me!’
Tickets, which are priced at £5, are available online at eventbrite.com
