Fisherman rescued after becoming stranded on rocks in rough sea

Jersey Coastguard launched the operation at about 6 pm after the skipper of another boat reported that he had received a call from the fisherman, who said he was stuck on rocks off Grève d’Azette, between Green Island and the reclamation site.

The Fire and Rescue Service inshore boat was the first to be launched, but the crew had to stand down as the conditions were too rough, leaving the RNLI St Helier all-weather and inshore lifeboats to make their way to the watching boat.
