The star, who had a number of chart hits in the 1990s, has named her new album Dark Sky Island in recognition of the small isle.
In 2011 Sark became the first place in the world to be designated a Dark Sky Island after working to reduce light pollution to give a better view of the sky at night.

Since then, it has been visited by astronomers from all over the world.
And Sark’s tourism industry is now hoping that the album will promote the island across the globe.
Karen Adams, Sark Tourism’s senior visit officer, said that she had a feeling that the island had attracted the attention of a singer when two men from the Warner Bros record label travelled to the island six weeks ago to shoot a promotional film.
‘At the time, they couldn’t reveal who the artist was and we just hoped it would be a big name,’ she said.
‘So when we heard it was Enya, we were thrilled.
‘Her music is so atmospheric.
‘We are hoping that some of the footage shot here will be used when she does events to promote her album.
‘She will also be able to promote Sark in places that we are not able to.
‘Enya is a world-renowned artist and we are absolutely staggered,’ she added.
According to billboard.com, the new album is based on poetry written by Enya’s lyricist Roma Ryan about islands, specifically Sark’s being awarded the Dark Sky Island status.
Enya told the website that the album had a theme of journeys – ‘Journeys to the island, through the length of a lifetime, through history, through emotions and journeys across great oceans.
‘So although it’s not a themed album as such, we nevertheless have an underlying connection between songs,’ she said.
Housing slump sees loss of another estate agent
GUERNSEY is to lose its third estate agent business this year.
Goldridge, which has traded for 13 years, is to shut on 31 December.
It claims that tough trading conditions are one of the reasons for its closure.
Guernsey saw two other estate agents – Property Link and Inspired – close earlier this year, and Sarnia Estate Agents merge with Wiltshire Property.
A Goldridge spokesman said: ‘Business will be as normal until 31 December, but we won’t be taking on new sales instructions.
‘The current staff members are three working directors and we have all chosen for different individual reasons to move on.
‘Our decision was, of course, influenced by but not solely due to the difficult trading conditions in the local property sector, which already prompted four or more competitor companies to close in the last two years.
‘But it has been an enjoyable and exhilarating time.’
A number of islanders have commented on the announcement.
One told them: ‘I believe the Guernsey housing market will be the poorer without your genuinely professional, caring and honest service that you have provided over the years.’
Average house prices in the second quarter of 2015 were £436,971 – nearly 7% lower than the same period in 2014.
There was also a 20% drop in the number of properties being sold, with just 126 being purchased during the quarter.
That made it the lowest number of houses sold during a second quarter since records began in 1999.
Information for the 2015 third quarter will be published in two weeks.
Online attempt to trick ex-partner
A GUERNSEYMAN created a fictitious online account in an attempt to trick his estranged partner into breaching conditions which had been imposed by another court.
Neil Harvey (48) set up a Google email address and Facebook account under the name of Ann Harris.
Guernsey’s Magistrate Court heard how he created the account by Googling ‘ordinary woman’ and using the name and photo of an Ann Harris.
Then, while posing as the woman, he attempted to get his former partner to discuss proceedings in another court which would have put her in breach of an order.
Harvey, who lives in the parish of Vale, later instructed his advocate to have the woman summonsed to court to determine whether she had breached the order.
He was arrested and this week pleaded guilty to three charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The judge, Philip Robey, said that the offences were serious, and adjourned the case for a probation report to be carried out.
Harvey was released on bail and is due to be sentenced next month.
