- Each has a 10 minute window for the presenters to sell on air.
- Listeners can ring the call centre and ask for the latest price, and bid for a lot.
- The auction phone number is 505 808.
- The calls come in to the call centre at Parade Road manned by volunteers of Rotary de la Manche.
- The radio presenters will have a screen showing them the prices and the top bidders.
- At the end of the 10 minutes, a timer will go off and a bell is rung in the call centre so no more calls will be accepted for those lots.
- The winning bidders are then called back by the call centre and told they have won.
- Then the presenters move onto the next six lots and so on.
- However, there are ten items that are more valuable than the other lots, which make up the Luxury Lot Auction (details below).
- These items are on two white boards in the call centre and people can bid for those all day, with a final 15 minute burst of bidding at the end of the day.[/breakout]
