Senator Bailhache, the Island’s External Relations Minister, is 2/9 favourite to receive the most votes out of the 18 candidates standing for the eight places on the Senatorial benches. At the 2011 election, when he returned to the States, he topped the poll in 11 out of 12 parishes with a total of 17,538 votes.
