Today it has been announced that work is to begin on a new police headquarters at Green Street next month.
Other projects include the new hospital and millions of pounds’ worth of work on social housing improvements after the States borrowed £250 million to pay for upgrades and more than 1,000 new units.
And, in what will be welcome news to those out of work, skills experts have predicted that 500 new jobs will need to be created to cope with demand.
