Twenty firefighters, including the on-call back-up team, were called to tackle the blaze, which started at about 8.30 pm. No one was injured in the incident.
Structural engineers have since visited the site to provide guidance on when the restaurant may be able to reopen, although no decision is expected until later in the week.
