Mr Crowcroft says he will now work with Deputies to bring a proposition to the States asking them to look at extending the park.
The move comes after Jersey Gas revealed plans earlier this month for a 298-home development made up of one-, two- and three-bedroom properties, ten shops, 255 parking spaces and a park the size of four tennis courts.
