The group are aiming to raise £50,000 through their six-day JT Kilimanjaro Climb and are taking the Lemosho Route to the mountain’s 5,895-metre peak. The climb involves rapid changes in altitude and climate and as a result the trekkers have been undergoing months of special training for the trip.
The challenge, which is supported by JT, is aiming to raise £50,000 to fund a new purpose-built centre to help people living within the autism spectrum in Jersey. The charity is planning to build the £1.5million centre in a joint effort with the States.
