Minister: Middle East links are now starting to pay dividends

The Treasury Minister was part of the first Jersey delegation to travel to the Gulf state in 2002 and earlier this week he spoke at a major conference in Doha, where he met the state’s Prime Minister Abdullah Nasser Khalifa Al Thani.

He was invited to speak at the conference organised by Euromoney, which was supported by Jersey Finance, by the nation’s finance minister Ali Sherif al-Emadi when they met at an international summit in Washington earlier this year.
