Graeme Butcher is accused of abusing his position during his time at the helm of the parish, using ratepayers’ money to refurbish property, buy household items and abuse the parish accounts to avoid paying GST on personal items.
The 65-year-old was charged at Police Headquarters just after 3 pm yesterday .
