The Jersey Centre for Separated Families has been given the grant over two years from the Lloyds TSB Foundation of the Channel Islands.
The charity’s co-ordinator and founder Denise Carroll said that the foundation’s generous support had enabled them to open an office in the Esplanade, and provide specialist training for their volunteers and additional services for parents.
They hold meetings of Milli’s Child Contact Centre on Sunday mornings at a spacious location so that children of separated families can spend time with a parent, siblings or other family member whom they do not live with.
They are looking for new premises to operate all these sessions.
