The Island’s Planning department came under fire at a Jersey Construction Council debate this week as industry leaders aired their views about sustainability and housing.
The panel, including Mark Forskitt, the chairman of the Jersey Climate Action Network, David Whalley, the managing director of Grange Developments, Stephen Lilley, the director of surveyors Currie and Brown, and the States director of Building Control, Mo Roscouet answered questions, with some taking the opportunity to question Planning’s performance in recent years.
Mr Whalley urged the department to work more openly with the construction industry.
