The Jersey Fire and Rescue Service annual review, released this week, says that firefighters were called to 1,067 incidents.
These included fires and other emergencies, probably the most memorable being the fire at the Gas Works last July, which closed parts of St Helier and resulted in many residents being evacuated.
This number of incidents was a slight decrease on the 1,093 emergencies in 2011. But the total number of fires the service attended last year was slightly more than 2011.
