A world première was held in New York City last night before tomorrow’s UK première in Leicester Square and Friday’s special Jersey opening, which Cavill and his co-stars Russell Crowe and Amy Adams are set to attend.
Hopes are high for this reboot of the franchise, which is Superman’s first return to the cinema since 2006’s misfire Superman Returns.
Man of Steel, which charts the superhero’s struggle to deal with his special powers, is said to be packed full of action and a darker take on the traditional Superman tale.
