Although the technology has been around for some time, 3D printing has become a lot cheaper and a lot more accessible to everyday people.

It is already used by countries all around the world to create models for planning applications, and chairman of the Chartered Institute for ICT Tim Bullock said there is a gap in the market for a 3D printing business in Jersey.

Mr Bullock was speaking before a presentation at the Pomme d’Or on 3D printing and what it could mean for Jersey. The presentation was delivered by Mark Loane of C5 Alliance and Tim Evans of the iQ Apple Store.
