A digital parenting magazine has been made available to all students in Years 4 to 9 and contains key advice on keeping children safe online.
It provides guidance on how to prevent internet grooming and communication with strangers and ways to set up filters on sites like YouTube and instant messaging services such as BlackBerry messenger.
The information can help to block access to potentially harmful material and the Education department’s e-safety manager, Jon Tarrant, said that the simple and straightforward advice was a valuable resource to all families.
