Hugh (27) and Harry Bonn (25) sailed into Falmouth in their 32-foot Tahitian cutter Little Coconut at around 5 pm and were greeted by many family and friends, a number of who had travelled over from Jersey especially for the occasion.
The pair – who undertook the challenge in memory of their friend Ben Poole – will now spend a few days in Falmouth before returning to Jersey, where it is hoped Islanders will turn out to welcome them home.
Jersey Royal Marine Ben died in 2008 aged just 26 while on a training course to be part of the Special Boat Service.
