Connex managing director Eric Le Roux is hopeful that the talks over drivers’ pay will conclude soon with agreement between both parties.

A joint statement from Mr Le Roux and Nick Corbel, on behalf of the union Unite, said: ‘Following a meeting at JACS (Jersey Advisory and Conciliation Service) it has been agreed that the industrial action due to take place from midnight tonight and on Friday, 8 June, has been cancelled as we hope to conclude negotiations within a day or two.’
