The beach climbed four places to the runner-up spot in TripAdvisor.co.uk’s second annual Travellers’ Choice Beach Destinations league. It was beaten only by Bournemouth in Dorset.
Last year’s winner, St Ives in Cornwall, dropped to fourth place in this year’s league.
