The pair were rescued from a small flat roof after jumping out of the window as smoke and flames quickly spread through the house in Bellozanne Avenue, St Helier.
Three other people also in the house escaped by running out of the property.
Three fire crews were called out to the home at about 11 pm last night after a smoke alarm alerted the five occupants to the blaze in an upstairs bedroom.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property to fight the fire, which had destroyed an upstairs bedroom and severely damaged all other rooms on the first floor.
