In September the department launched a survey to find out why many bright young Islanders were deciding to stay away. So far, 600 people have responded from around the world, but Education still wants to hear from more people.
The survey was launched by Careers Jersey, which is part of Education, to track Jersey students who graduated between 1991 and 2011. It is an online questionnaire that asks former students about qualifications, gap years, where they live now and what they are doing.
Head of Careers Jersey Andy Gibbs said: ‘The response has been excellent and some replies have come from as far away as Africa and Australasia, so I would like to thank all those who have already completed the survey. However, we are particularly interested in hearing from more graduates who no longer live in Jersey and who left university between 1991 and 2011, as they are currently under-represented.’
