Le Gallais home furnishings shop in Bath Street will shut shortly before Christmas with the loss of six jobs.
It is the fourth major furniture retailer to shut in the past two years, following the closure of Home Ideas, Rooms and The Loft.
In a statement, Tim Le Gallais, the firm’s director, said that the general decline in the furniture retail industry, coupled with the continuing recession, had severely affected business.
