The race starts at 9 am at the Weighbridge with solo marathon runners making their way through town before heading west on the 26.2-mile circuit.
Recent high temperatures are set to continue and tomorrow’s weather could reach the high 20s making the race more difficult and potentially more dangerous than previous years.
With more than 2,000 expected to run, competitors are being warned to take on plenty of fluids and wear sun cream to avoid dehydration and sunburn during the event.
This year’s marathon will involve more than 200 employees from the Royal Bank of Canada, with 18 individuals tackling the full marathon and 190 making up 38 relay teams.
