The team have been left devastated following the death of Flight-Lieutenant John Egging, who died when his Hawk jet crashed into a field following the Bournemouth Air Festival last month. It was initially feared that the fleet would be grounded for the rest of the summer season, but they were recently cleared to fly and have vowed to continue for the rest of the year as an eight-member team.
And they will once again provide the finale of the Jersey International Air Display, at which they have performed every year since they were formed in 1965. The team were expected to touch down at the Airport some time on Tuesday, although their arrival was postponed due to the bad weather.
Meanwhile, the air display organisers have revealed that almost 40 aircraft are expected to be on show during a three-day static display at the Airport. Hundreds of Islanders are expected to visit the display, which will take place between 1 pm and 5 pm on Thursday.
