Family Nursing and Home Care says that more and more children are being served cheap ready meals at a time when fewer walk to school and many spend hours sitting in front of computer games.
Julie Gafoor, operational lead for Child and Family Services, at Family Nursing and Home Care, said that the reason for the rise in obesity in children under-fives was unclear.
However, she said that having 75% of working mothers compared to 68% in the UK could be part of the problem.
