The inquest was formally opened into the death of Robert Schmidt (32), who it is thought died when he fell from a balcony while on holiday in the Indonesian island last month.
Relief coroner Dr Margaret Bayes formally released the body for the funeral to take place after hearing from Detective Constable Thomas Hayden, of the States Police, that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Schmidt’s death on 26 June.
Dr Bayes confirmed that he died in the BIMC Hospital in Kuta, Bali.
