Bomb disposal expert Stuart Elliott was called to Simon’s Sandpit, St Ouen, at 8 am this morning after employees dug the shell out and put it to one side.
He has moved it to a safe place to be destroyed with a controlled explosion at low tide because it still has undetonated explosives in it.
