Thirteen professional guards have finished three weeks of training and will take their places at St Ouen, St Brelade, and Plémont beaches from 10 am this morning.
The lifeguards will be in place every day from 10 am to 6 pm until Sunday 2 October, and will increase in number to 18 from Saturday 2 July, when Grève de Lecq will also come under their control.
