New plans for hotel site revert to tradition

Mick Cotillard, managing director of Summit Developments, still wants to knock down Hotel des Pierres and build 13 flats over three storeys. He says that the new design is a ‘totally different’ one.

Last month Environment Minister Freddie Cohen refused the proposed scheme and questioned whether it fitted into such a traditional and sensitive area of Jersey.

The National Trust for Jersey also objected to the development, saying that it was overbearing and did not enhance the area.
