The four local successful candidates will now be trained locally for the jobs by doing a three-year distance learning degree.
The recruitment campaign is part of Health’s strategy to ensure there are enough social workers in the Island.
John Cox, service manager at the Community and Social Services department, said that he was very impressed with both the volume of applications and the high quality of the candidates.
