Parishioners packed out St Saviour’s Parish Hall on Tuesday night to voice their dismay over the plans for Field 528, off Rue de la Retraite, opposite St Saviour’s Primary School.
That meeting was organised by campaign group Save Our St Saviour – Line in the Ground, which was created by residents after they heard of Rotary’s hopes of building a Good Companions Club, a café, a nursery and medical facilities on the field.
John Reed, the chairman of the Good Companions Club management committee, said this morning that the club was ‘taking a week or so to consider where we stand’ following the parish assembly.
