Glencore International plc has been incorporated in the Island and is due to list soon in both London and Hong Kong.
The share issue is likely to raise between US$9 and 11 billion and the public offering values the business at about US$60 billion.
Two Jersey law firms have been involved in putting together the public offering.
Mourant Ozannes is the sole adviser to Glencore International AG on the Jersey legal aspects of the floatation, while Ogier is acting as Jersey counsel to Citibank, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley, the joint global co-ordinators of Glencore International’s float.
Mourant Ozannes partner Robert Hickling led the team working on the deal for the firm and was assisted by associate Jon Woolrich.
